Jumping Into Spring!
Spring is finally in the air and many of us are diving into preparations for the upcoming growing season. Maybe you are starting a garden for the first time, adding on to a previous garden or correcting some mistakes you learned from last year. Well I want to provide you with some tricks and tips to help you grow your most successful season yet.
This year I completed a huge garden renovation where I replaced half of my garden with Metal Birdies Raised Beds and while I was showing my progress across social platforms SO many of you had questions on how to properly set up and fill a raised bed. And here is my answer! Our Latest YouTube video “How to Setup and Fill a Raised Bed to Grow Amazing Veggies for Years to Come” dives into the details of how to set up a raised bed, weed and pest prevention, what to fill a raised bed with, why certain materials are used, and how to calculate how much of each material you actually need.
Below is a helpful tool to calculate the volume of your raised beds. This will really aid you in determining the amount of material you need to actually fill your raised beds.

Use the rectangular tank calculator or other applicable shape calculator to help you determine your total volume.
After getting my new garden setup I have to say I am absolutely loving my Birdies Raised Beds. I have been growing in them for years, did a series on gardening in them last year, and I took the deep dive knowing that they will significantly up my gardening game.
If you are interested in purchasing some Birdies Raised Beds for yourself you can check out my discount link here! Or you can apply my code PHIL to access the same discount on ALL Birdies Raised beds on the Epic Gardening Store.

Building a garden, or setting up a raised bed for the first time, can seem daunting for some. Most people that want to start a garden or already grow one due so largely because of its health benefits, but there are some people out there that have yet to start due to the upfront costs.
This video we put out in the beginning of 2023 summarizes the cost savings you get from growing a home garden and hopefully it can provide you with the extra push and assurance you need to get started!
You don’t need to start huge and actually, I would never recommend it. If you want to start a vegetable or herb garden, figure out what your three favorite things to eat are and start with those. Start with 3 pots, grow bags or other containers, and get yourself in the habit of caring for your plants and become an expert on each one. This will set you up for HUGE amounts of success in the future because you will be able to apply what you learned becoming an expert on your favorites and apply it to other plants.
Now that you have your garden set up, one of the most important things you can do to give your plants a good start is to harden them off. In this video I go over the simple process to allow your juvenile plants to establish better when planting them out in the garden.
Subscriptions now Live on Instagram!
Planning your garden and knowing when to plant certain crops can be one of the hardest things for a gardener to accomplish successfully. I LOVE to plan and plant my garden and have developed lots of resources that allow myself to be successful in this endeavor. With this I have officially started Subscriptions on Instagram!
For $4.99 a month you can subscribe to my private channel and see exactly what I am doing every single week and have access to information that I use to properly plan out my garden. I clearly explain what the best times are to plant certain crops and every week I tell you what I am doing so you can perform the same tasks in your garden at the appropriate times. Additionally at the beginning of every month, we do a Q&A session with all subscribers to provide time to answer questions and provide an outlook for the month ahead. So if you want to step up your gardening game, learn how to schedule out your garden and be a part of the amazing ENT community, come subscribe to our channel on Instagram!
